Présentation
The Michael Hoppen Gallery is wholly devoted to the photographic image as art. The gallery opened in Chelsea on October 1st 1993 and has become a formidable presence in the international photography community. The Michael Hoppen Gallery’s main goal is to encourage the love, appreciation, and collecting of the photograph.

According to a Greenlandic tale, a human being can turn into a quivigtoq, run around the fells, live there and finally die there. My desire to return to Greenland goes beyond reason. On one of my trips there I tried to shake off this madness and leave wandering in the northern landscapes, like a quivigtoq. I did not succeed.“
