Integrated in the holdings of the museum, the works of the Emanuel Hoffmann Foundation are presented at both the Museum für Gegenwartskunst and the Kunstmuseum Basel. Those that are not on view have been stored at the Schaulager since 2003. Over the years the Foundation has consistently acquired significant works, or entire work groups, by international artists; these are now being shown, some for the first time, at the Museum for Contemporary Art. An exemplary selection of works are being exhibited with the focus on installations, video projections and photographic works. The exhibition highlights the Emanuel Hoffmann Foundation exemplary, long-term commitment to contemporary art.
