Appel de dossiers destiné aux étudiants ayant complété une maîtrise en
arts visuels au courant de l’année 2007-2008

Dazibao, centre de photographies actuelles, offre à un artiste ayant complété sa maîtrise en arts visuels au courant de l’année 2007-2008 la chance de faire connaître son travail photographique.

En septembre 2008, Dazibao lancera un dépliant de programmation d’un nouveau format qui, sur une face, offrira toutes les informations générales concernant le centre ainsi que celles relatives à sa programmation 2008-2009.  L’autre face sera dédiée à l’oeuvre de l’artiste en début de carrière sélectionné par le présent appel de dossiers. Tirée à plus de 5000 exemplaires, cette affiche bénéficiera d’une vaste distribution sur les plans local, national et international, offrant une visibilité exceptionnelle à l’œuvre choisie.

Call for proposals for fine arts Master’s students graduating in 2007-2008

Dazibao, centre de photographies actuelles offers an artist graduating in 2007-2008 with a Master’s degree in fine arts, the chance to make his or her photographic work known.

In September 2008, Dazibao will launch its revamped programming brochure, which will feature, on one side, general information about the centre as well as details on its 2008-09 programming year. The other side will be dedicated to the work of an emerging artist which will be selected through the present call for proposals. With a print-run of more than 5000 copies, this poster will be distributed locally, nationally and internationally, thus allowing the selected photographic work to receive enormous exposure.

Your proposal must be mailed and must include a maximum of 10 digital images (on a CD-ROM formatted in PowerPoint and Mac compatible) and a brief artist statement (maximum 250 words). We will not accept web links or digital images sent by e-mail. Deadline: May 31st, 2008.


Votre proposition doit être envoyée par la poste et doit comprendre un maximum de 10 images sur support numérique (un CD-ROM configuré en PowerPoint pour Mac) et un bref texte décrivant votre démarche artistique (maximum de 250 mots). Les images numériques envoyées par courriel ou les liens pointant vers un site Internet ne seront pas acceptées. Date limite de soumission des dossiers  : le 31 mai 2008.
