Jeremy Blake was born in Fort Skill, Oklahoma, USA, in 1971 and died last year. Galería Leyendecker wants to honor this great artist showing his most significant videos.

Blake earned international acclaim in the 90's with his so called "time based paintings", computer made animations, which in essence shew paintings of abstract shapes and vibrant colors in continous transformation. The artist, who always considered himself a painter, made also drawings, paintings and large scale digital prints, different artistic disciplines that were masterly combined in his last audiovisual productions, to extend the field of comprehension of the work.

Jeremy Blake made exhibitions with important museums worldwide, as for instance, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Whitney Museum of American Art, Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, San Diego Museum of Contemporary Art or Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia in Madrid.
